“We’re not breaking physics, so success is one of the possible outcomes here.” 
Elon Musk is a walking headline whether he is endorsing a presidential candidate, hosting the “We, Robot” event, or launching starships. And people say men can’t multitask — ha! 
First things first, last week <a href="https://uk.advfn.com/newspaper/igorkuchma/76548/are-investors-tired-of-waiting-for-a-miracle-from-musk">Musk unveiled Tesla futuristic vehicles</a>. The first is a self-driving, two-seater robotaxi called the Cybercab. The second is a Robobus/Robovan that can seat up to 20 people. 
Impressive, right? Given that the world has been waiting for a self-driving car for almost a decade, though Tesla’s CEO had promised to deliver them within a couple of years after the idea surfaced, the event could have been more spectacular. 
After the long-anticipated Hollywood-style reveal, Tesla’s stock took a dip as investors weren’t particularly impressed. Well, nice effort.

But here’s some good news for Mr. Musk: Tesla isn’t his only venture where he can show off his flair. Another of his well-known companies, SpaceX, made a significant achievement on Sunday during its fifth Starship test flight. For the first time, SpaceX successfully returned the rocket’s towering first-stage booster to its Texas launch pad using giant mechanical arms, a milestone crucial for developing fully reusable rockets capable of transporting humans, scientific equipment, and supplies to the Moon and Mars. 
The first-stage “Super Heavy” booster launched from SpaceX’s Boca Chica, Texas facilities, sending the Starship’s second-stage rocket toward space before separating at around 70 km in altitude to return to land. 
“The tower has caught the rocket!!” CEO Elon Musk wrote on X after the catch attempt. SpaceX staff erupted in cheers as the falling booster reignited three of its Raptor engines, slowed its descent, and swung toward the launch tower, where it was securely held by the mechanical arms, nicknamed “chopsticks.” 
Can you imagine the impact this would have had on the company’s stock if SpaceX were publicly traded on major exchanges like NASDAQ or NYSE? Its shares would likely <a href="https://www.tradingview.com/markets/stocks-usa/market-movers-gainers/">be among the top stock gainers</a>. Maybe one day, we’ll see that happen. 
Musk’s ambitious vision is that these chopstick arms will eventually be able to turn around and place a rocket back on the launchpad within minutes of its return, enabling it to take off again after refueling — possibly within just 30 minutes of touchdown. 
Each test milestone aims to refine SpaceX’s method for eventually recovering and quickly reusing both Super Heavy boosters and Starship spacecraft for future missions. Rapidly reusing rocket parts is crucial to SpaceX’s goal of dramatically cutting the time and cost of getting cargo — or human missions — into Earth’s orbit and deep space. 
SpaceX plans to use the Starship capsule to land NASA astronauts on the lunar surface as soon as 2026 as part of the <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/09/world/nasa-artemis-moon-landing-delay-scn/index.html">Artemis III mission</a>. The company has government contracts valued at nearly $4 billion to accomplish this. Eventually, SpaceX also hopes that Starship will carry the first humans to Mars.
