<a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/10/13/aptos-price-surged-18-in-a-day-could-it-gain-100-this-year/">Aptos</a> (APT) has established itself in the broader crypto ecosystem within the past two years. As the blockchain marks its second anniversary, Aptos highlighted four major milestones it has recorded since its launch. 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-aptos-milestones-that-demonstrate-growth">Aptos Milestones That Demonstrate Growth</h2> 
Within two years, the Layer-1 blockchain recorded a major milestone for active addresses. Aptos’ total number of unique addresses or users reached 27.7 million. These users have interacted with the blockchain over the past two years. 
This figure is lauded as a major win, since despite having the likes of Solana as a competition, Aptos has gained market share. Experts consider the approximately 28 million user base a clear indication of a natural user growth drawn to the Proof-of-Stake network. 
The Aptos blockchain has also registered a massive transaction figure of 1.7 billion. This marks the cumulative number of transactions processed on the network since its inception. Its major attraction lies in its number of Transactions Per Second (TPS) metric. 
Its high TPS of approximately 5,000 demonstrates scalability and increased activity. Given the scalability of its network, Aptos also hit record levels in transactions done in a single day. 
According to the data shared, the peak network usage hit 326 million transactions in a single day. This further lends credence to the protocol’s efficiency in handling users’ requests. 
Notably, the blockchain has supported the development of several projects, hence the rapid growth figures. Since its launch, 250 innovative projects have emerged on the Aptos blockchain. It also celebrated its 149 validator nodes, spread across 22 countries and 47 cities. 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-expanding-ecosystem-and-innovation">Expanding Ecosystem and Innovation</h2> 
The highlighted metrics support Aptos blockchain’s growth in the broader Web3.0 ecosystem. Dubbed “Solana killer,” it also competed well within the Layer-1 ecosystem. The blockchain has done this by onboarding new projects to expand its ecosystem for efficiency and utility. 
In 2023, for instance, it launched the Lava testnet. Notably, Lava made it easier for developers to bootstrap their applications by providing fast and reliable APIs. Lava’s multi-chain Web3.0 infrastructure enabled Aptos to drive innovations on its platform. 
Additionally, the Layer-1 blockchain expanded its capabilities by launching its Non-Fungible Token (NFT) bridge on Wormhole. The essence of the Wormhole Aptos NFT Bridge hinges on enabling digital art collectors to mint their NFTs on any protocol. They could then move them through Aptos without any difficulties. 
All these upgrades have elevated Aptos to a blockchain that has witnessed rapid growth in the last two years. While it is growing, experts say more blockchain adoption will ultimately test its technology’s strength in the long run. 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-apt-price-struggles-despite-success">APT Price Struggles Despite Success</h2> 
Despite these remarkable achievements, <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/price-prediction/aptos/">APT price</a> has slumped by 1.21% in the last 24 hours to exchange for $9.965. Although predictions that hint at APT’s capabilities to <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/10/09/aptos-tops-gainers-chart-expected-to-hit-this-level-soon/">break the $10 resistance level</a>, Aptos’ growth is unstable for now. 
Market watchers say Aptos, however, has the potential to gain momentum in the cryptocurrency space, particularly with other Layer-1 ecosystems.
