The Layer 1 blockchain <a href="https://yellow.com/asset/sui" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Sui</a> which is known for its scalability and performance is partnering with Ghaf Group, a blockchain in the MENA region to <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/sui-launches-suihub-dubai-its-first-global-hub-to-drive-web3-innovation/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">launch SuiHub</a>. The Dubai-based first SuiHub will act as a centre for more such hubs across the world.
Sui’s hub will be placed in Expo City Dubai to showcase its commitment to innovation and to utilise the thriving tech space of the region. This is part of the global workspace and community centre network building mission of Sui.
Through the SuiHub, the layer 1 blockchain wants to empower the development of decentralised applications (dApps) along with advancements in blockchain technology
Through this hub, Sui aims to help web3 founders with resources, technical expertise and the funding they need to scale up. This will be done through workshops, community-driven events and other technical support to use the blockchain infrastructure of Sui.
With this development, Sui seems to bolster its role in the web3 sector of the MENA region, particularly Dubai where blockchain technologies are rapidly advancing.
The CEO of SuiHub Kristof Lukovich explained how it will work when he said “The Q4 accelerator program, in collaboration with Brinc, CoinList, Sui and Ghaf Group will be nurturing some of the most promising startup founders on a global scale.” Lukovich further revealed that the company is also collaborating with the American University of Sharjah with whom they have previously worked to launch “a blockchain academy to cultivate the next generation of blockchain-savvy local leaders.”
The SuiHub shows Sui’s commitment to DeFi as it supports new talent in this sector and more hubs are on the cards. Each of these SuiHubs will provide resources and localised support to blockchain developers working on Sui-based products.
