As the competition between Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) continues, famous economist Alex Krüger warned investors.
Warning investors about Ethereum, Krüger said that it is time to exit ETH. At this point, the economist stated that Solana will probably continue to outperform ETH.
“It's time to abandon ETH,” said Krüger, who made an ETH-SOL comparison from his X account.
Krüger criticized Ethereum's performance and stated that investing in ETH may no longer be the right strategy. At this point, the analyst stated that it may be more profitable for investors to focus on alternative crypto assets such as Solana, which can offer better returns, instead of ETH, which is showing resistance.
Noting that Solana has experienced a remarkable rise with the memecoin craze, Krüger said that he had previously planned to open a long position in ETH and Solana if pro-crypto presidential candidate Donald Trump was ahead on US election night, but he changed his mind.
Krüger stated that he has now removed Ethereum from his plans and is turning to SOL and other altcoins.
Stating that Trump's victory would be positive for altcoins, the analyst stated that he was not pessimistic about Ethereum, but that there were many other successful altcoins other than ETH in the long run.

Krüger recently stated that the departure of SEC Chairman Gary Gensler would open the door to staking for Ethereum ETFs, thus making ETH ETFs more attractive. The analyst added that Gensler’s departure would also open the door for Solana ETFs.
