The Telegram-linked <a href="https://yellow.com/asset/ton">Toncoin (TON)</a> network is on track to overtake <a href="https://yellow.com/asset/eth">Ethereum</a> in total users by year-end, marking a significant shift in blockchain adoption patterns. Current data shows TON's user base has reached 112 million, approaching Ethereum's 137 million users. 
CryptoQuant analyst Maartun <a href="https://cryptoquant.com/insights/quicktake/671cc16d127ec65219bc6882-TON-Holder-Count-will-overtake-ETH-Holder-Count-before-EOY">reports</a> TON is adding approximately 500,000 new holders daily. At this growth rate, the network could surpass Ethereum's user count by December 20th. However, more conservative projections suggest the milestone might be reached by February 2025. 
"The spike in TON's holder count has been exponential, but the rate may slow down in the coming months," Maartun notes. The analysis acknowledges Ethereum's continuing growth, though at a slower pace. 
Market data reveals strengthening fundamentals for TON. IntoTheBlock reports a 249% increase in average holding time over the past month, suggesting growing investor confidence in the token's prospects. 
Whale activity has shown remarkable growth. The Large Holders' Netflow, tracking addresses controlling over 0.1% of circulating supply, has surged by more than 15,000% in the past month. This metric indicates substantial accumulation by major investors. 
TON currently trades at $5.01, testing resistance at $5.26. Technical analysis suggests potential upside to $5.91 if current accumulation trends continue, with further resistance at $6.82. Support lies at $4.44 if selling pressure emerges. 
Market observers note that TON's growth trajectory reflects increasing adoption of Telegram-integrated blockchain solutions. The network's expansion could signal a broader shift in user preferences toward messaging-linked crypto platforms. 
The rapid user growth raises questions about the sustainability of traditional blockchain platforms' dominance. Industry analysts suggest this trend could reshape the competitive landscape among major blockchain networks. 
Technical analysts caution that exponential growth rates typically face eventual moderation. However, TON's integration with Telegram's established user base provides a unique advantage in maintaining adoption momentum.
