BitPoint Japan, one of Japan's leading exchanges, has become the first exchange in the country to list and offer trading for memecoins.
At this point, BitPoint Japan announced the start of trading for Pepecoin (PEPE), the country’s first listed memecoin.
It was stated that PEPE will be available for spot trading, lending and fixed investment on BitPoint Japan.
The exchange also said it has launched a campaign where a limited number of users can earn PEPE equal to 1 million yen from October 30 to November 27.
PEPE is a cryptocurrency created in 2023 and based on the internet meme “PEPE the Frog”. PEPE, which managed to attract the attention of investors in a short time and increased its market value, is ranked 24th in the CoinMarketCap ranking.
