<p>President Joe Biden personally expressed gratitude towards Nigerian President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday. Biden acknowledged Tinubu's contribution in ensuring the freedom of Tigran Gambaryan, an executive at Binance.</p>

<p>Gambaryan had spent eight months in detention in Nigeria. He was accused of committing money laundering and tax evasion.&nbsp; Nigerian authorities later <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/nigeria-drops-charges-against-binance-executive-tigran-gambaryan-after-detention/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">dropped the charges</a>.</p>

<p>Gambaryan’s release last week led to his safe return to the U.S. Several lawmakers and former officials campaigned for his freedom.
