Binance Blockchain Week 2024 officially began today in Dubai, with Binance’s Head of Regional Markets, Richard Teng, delivering an inspiring keynote address to an audience of over 30,000 attendees and 200 speakers from across the globe. Reflecting the theme of “momentum,” Teng celebrated the advances in blockchain and digital assets, emphasizing that 2024 has been a pivotal year for the industry. His speech set a tone of gratitude toward the Binance community, innovative partners, and supportive regulators who helped bring the event to life.

During his keynote, Richard Teng expressed deep appreciation for the community and partners who have contributed to Binance’s growth and global impact. “We’re here because of you — our Binance community, dedicated partners, and visionaries from around the world,” Teng stated. He noted that 2024 has marked significant milestones, including key ETF approvals, that have positioned blockchain technology as a credible force in mainstream finance. 
Teng emphasized that blockchain’s increasing recognition by over 200 financial institutions signifies the “momentum” driving the industry forward, helping it to establish a strong foundation for future growth. Wearing a pin inscribed with “to the moon,” Teng symbolized Binance’s ambitious outlook and encouraged participants to leverage the event as a platform for shaping the future of blockchain. “This is our opportunity to think about what lies ahead for crypto and blockchain. Let’s harness innovation to be a true force of change,” he urged. 
Binance Blockchain Week 2024 will feature sessions on the future of cryptocurrency, advancements in regulation, decentralized finance (DeFi), and Web3 innovation, with prominent voices leading discussions on these topics.

His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), also addressed the audience, reflecting on Dubai’s evolution from a regional port at Jebel Ali to a global center of innovation. Celebrating the UAE’s resilience and visionary leadership, Belhoul noted that Dubai has successfully transformed the Middle East’s narrative from one marked by conflict to one characterized by technology, progress, and peace. 
In line with the rise of blockchain, Belhoul highlighted Binance’s role in advancing industry standards and regulations.”Binance, like Dubai, is an innovator that transcends current challenges, transcends turbulence and paves a path for the future.” Belhoul stated, emphasizing that both Dubai and Binance represent the momentum essential to drive transformation within and beyond blockchain.
