Given the ongoing U.S. presidential election, political meme coins are again on the rise. The PolitiFi category has gained 3% in the last 24 hours due to the upcoming election results.&nbsp;
Meme coins associated with Trump have become the most popular in the market in the last few hours. The top coin, MAGA (TRUN), has increased by 1024.95% in the last 24 hours and is now trading at $0.00006292. Other Trump-related coins like Trump47 (TRUMP47) and Old Trump (TRUMP) have also surged significantly, with gains of 788.15% and 406.63% respectively.&nbsp;

Additional Trump-linked meme coins have shown similar growth. MAGA Coin (MAGA) at $0.0002648 has surged by 229.65% in the past day. Also, PEPE (TRUMP) increased by 98.32% to $0.05148. Smaller Trump-themed tokens, including MAGA PEOPLE, rose by 78.47% in the past 24 hours with a price of $0.001074.
Meme coins linked to Vice President Kamala Harris have also recorded gains. The largest coin associated with Harris, Krypto Harris (HARRI), rose slightly by 97.56% within the last 24 hours and was trading at $0.9749. On the other hand, the Department of Gov Efficiency coin which is linked to the government sector, appreciated by 92% to trade at $0.1151.

&nbsp;Analysts have suggested that meme coins linked to the loser of today’s election may suffer a significant plunge in value, as has been the case in previous elections. This pattern is consistent with the previous response, such as the case of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, whose associated coin fell by 94% after being left out of the vice presidential nominee list.
The TrumpCoin (DJT), related to Barron Trump, has also notably gained 94.8% in the last 24-hours. The token was launched in June and has been said to have been developed by Martin Shkreli and Barron Trump. It then came under fire in August after a single wallet dumped 20% of all tokens in circulation. As previously reported by Cryptopolitan, Dogecoin (DOGE) surged more than 12% with leading tokens in the red.&nbsp;
Currently, the meme coins have a total market capitalization of $75.3 billion. As<a href="https://www.cryptopolitan.com/report-exposes-high-volatility-in-meme-coin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> highlighted by Binance Research,</a> the meme coins have surged by 75% this year. Like the promises of political campaigns, the meme coin market is characterized by hype, volatility, and frequent corrections.&nbsp; The growth of the meme coin index at 118.99% in the year so far shows that the interest of investors is still very much piqued.
