Google Cloud is now the primary validator for the Cronos blockchain, continuing a partnership between their parent companies, Google and Cronos Labs. The cloud computing service will now help maintain Cronos’ decentralization and security, joining another 32 validators on the Cronos Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) protocol.
It is also expected to help foster technical advancements, increase AI and blockchain developer engagement, and strengthen startup backing through the <a href="https://blog.cronos.org/p/cronos-labs-strengthens-google-cloud" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Cronos Accelerator program</a>.

Google renewed its partnership with Cronos Labs, now becoming the primary validator for the Cronos blockchain. The partnership is expected to help promote Cronos’ network security even as it joins 32 other validators.
Ken Timsit&nbsp;, managing director of Cronos Labs, discussed the added validator and its impacts on the Cronos blockchain network, saying:

 First, it enhances the security and reliability of the whole network. Second, it makes the Cronos Accelerator program even more appealing to startups. He even spoke on the hold that the web3 space has on other corporations, stating that the web3 space has become increasingly hard to overlook for any developer-focused firm, considering it’s a center for open-source development and innovation.
In addition, Rishi Ramchandani, head of Web3 APAC at Google Cloud, confirmed that Cronos developers would be provided with the resources needed to create decentralized applications (dApps) and could draw from the existing platform’s AI-based technologies and data analytics tools.

Cronos Labs has opened its Cronos zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) chain to Google Cloud, aiming for enhanced performance. The zkEVM chain now uses Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Autopilot, AlloyDB, and Google Compute Engine to boost its processing capabilities and scalability.
Additionally, Cronos Labs has shared its blockchain datasets with Google, simplifying access to EVM and zkEVM chains. Google’s analytics tools will also be made available on these chains, offering automatic trading pattern identification and AI-automated transactions.
