<p>Flare has partnered with <a href="https://www.reddatetech.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Red Date Technology</a> to introduce a never-before-seen decentralized identity KYC (Know Your Customer) initiative for Mainland Chinese visitors in Hong Kong.<br /><br />This initiative consisted of two trials:</p><ul><li>The first trial enables anonymous registration on a regulated stablecoin app</li><li>The second trial facilitates the purchase of tokenized financial products with stablecoins</li></ul><p>Both trials, powered by Flare and Red Date through China RealDID, will meet KYC compliance while maintaining user anonymity alongside ZK-based anonymity. In other words, once legislation is enacted and production systems are in place, Mainland Chinese visitors in Hong Kong would be able to use digital financial services without needing to expose personal identifiable information (PII).</p><h2 id="header-0">What is the significance of this partnership?</h2><p>The significance of this joint initiative lies in its broader implications for cryptocurrency regulation.
