The price of Bitcoin has just crossed $90,000, the latest milestone in a record-breaking rally since Donald Trump won the 2024 United States presidential election. 
Bitcoin (<a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/bitcoin-price" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">BTC</a>) hit a peak of $90,000 on Coinbase at 12:56 PST on Nov. 12 and is up 11% over the past day, per TradingView <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.tradingview.com/chart/9TERcreT/?symbol=COINBASE%3ABTCUSD" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">data</a>.
The cryptocurrency is now just over 11% away from reaching $100,000.

Analysts had predicted Bitcoin <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/trump-presidential-victory-paves-way-100k-bitcoin-end-2024" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">could hit six figures</a> if Trump took the White House after featuring pro-crypto messaging throughout his <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/learn/who-is-donald-trump" rel="" target="_self" text="null" title="https://cointelegraph.com/learn/who-is-donald-trump">campaign</a>.
Since the Nov. 5 US election, <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/learn/what-is-bitcoin-a-beginners-guide-to-the-worlds-first-cryptocurrency" rel="" target="_self" text="null" title="https://cointelegraph.com/learn/what-is-bitcoin-a-beginners-guide-to-the-worlds-first-cryptocurrency">Bitcoin</a> has gained about 30%, alongside a broader rally in crypto and stock markets.
Shares of crypto exchange Coinbase have soared around 75% to a nearly three-year high since the Nov. 5 opening bell. It closed at a nearly 20% gain alone on Nov. 11 at $324.24, <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.google.com/finance/quote/COIN:NASDAQ" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">per</a> Google Finance.

US-based crypto miners like Marathon Digital Holdings saw a nearly 30% rally on Nov. 11, while other firms, including CleanSpark and Hut 8, gained over 25% that day.
The S&amp;P 500, which tracks the largest 500 US companies, has <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.google.com/finance/quote/.INX:INDEXSP" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" text="null" title="https://www.google.com/finance/quote/.INX:INDEXSP">surged</a> 4.25% since election day and topped $6,000 for the first time on Nov. 11.
Meanwhile, major altcoin Solana (<a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/solana-price-index" rel="" target="_self" text="null" title="https://cointelegraph.com/solana-price-index">SOL</a>) has surged 35% since Nov. 5, <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/solana-price-hits-2-year-high-is-a-new-sol-all-time-high-on-the-way" rel="" target="_self" text="null" title="https://cointelegraph.com/news/solana-price-hits-2-year-high-is-a-new-sol-all-time-high-on-the-way">reaching its highest level</a> since December 2021 at $222 on Nov. 11 amid widespread gains in the crypto market.
