Rise

Apple Studios and A24 have teamed up to produce a film based on the rise and fall of the infamous cryptocurrency exchange FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried will be adapting from Michael Lewis’ book “Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon,” detailing the drama of Bankman-Fried’s fall from billionaire to convicted fraud. 
Lena Dunham, best known for co-creator and star of “Girls,” will adapt the book for the big screen. The film will <a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/lena-dunham-sam-bankman-fried-movie-apple-a24-michael-lewis-going-infinite-1236207495/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">explore</a> Bankman-Fried’s meteoric rise in the crypto world, his lavish lifestyle, and eventual downfall, which in 2023 was convicted of fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering.&nbsp; 
Bankman-Fried, once the 41st richest man in the United States, was sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to forfeit $11 billion for the largest financial fraud in history for one of the programs, and he was described as intelligent and manipulative during the trial, and aware of his illegal activities well Power and influence to do it. 
Michael Lewis, who had exclusive access to Bankman-Fried before the FTX crash, spent a great deal of time with him and shadowed him when he was housed.&nbsp; 
Lewis attended special FTX meetings and spoke with Bankman-Fried about $8 billion in lost client funds, which the founder denies as a circular error. 
Apple <a href="https://www.cryptotimes.io/2023/09/11/apple-secures-sbf-regarding-upcoming-book-rights-for-5-million/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">paid Lewis $5 million</a> for the rights to the book. Lewis’s early novels, such as Moneyball and The Big Short, were also made into successful films. Following an Amazon movie launch in 2022, the film marks the final work on Bankman-Fried.
