Societe Generale-FORGE is set to launch its euro-pegged stablecoin, EURCV, on the XRP Ledger in 2025.&nbsp;
The <a href="https://www.sgforge.com/eurcv-on-the-xrp-ledgers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">launch on XRPL</a> marks SG-FORGE’s latest expansion in their multi-chain approach, following earlier deployments on Ethereum (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/ethereum/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ETH</a>) and Solana (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/solana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SOL</a>).&nbsp;
By moving <a href="https://crypto.news/ripples-xrpl-solution-readies-for-significant-upgrade/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">onto the XRPL</a>, SG-FORGE hopes to use XRP’s (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/xrp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP</a>) low-cost, high-speed infrastructure to promote broader adoption of its digital currency in cross-border payments.
A subsidiary of the French banking giant Societe Generale, SG-FORGE <a href="https://crypto.news/societe-generales-crypto-division-secures-license-in-france/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">is a digital asset arm</a> dedicated to developing blockchain-based solutions for traditional finance.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="stablecoin-integration-with-mica">Stablecoin integration with MiCA</h2>
SG-FORGE’s EURCV is designed to meet <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/mica" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MiCA</a> standards, ensuring that the stablecoin aligns with European regulatory guidelines, particularly around transparency, consumer protection, and market integrity.
SG-FORGE has been at the forefront of integrating digital assets into the financial ecosystem, focusing on providing compliant, institutional-grade, interoperable products across multiple blockchain networks.
Since its founding, SG-FORGE has introduced several digital products designed to meet Europe’s regulatory requirements, particularly under MiCA.
Stablecoins like EURCV <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/stablecoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">are digital currencies</a> tied to traditional assets — often fiat currencies like the euro — to help maintain a stable value. Unlike highly volatile cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/bitcoin/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BTC</a>), stablecoins provide a predictable and less risky transaction medium.&nbsp;
Since its inception in 2012, XRPL has processed more than 2.8 billion transactions and supported over 5 million active wallets.
Guillaume Chatain, Chief Revenue Officer at SG-FORGE, views the XRPL as a strategic platform for EURCV. The ledger’s speed and cost-efficiency align with SG-FORGE’s vision for next-generation digital assets.
