Lucie, the Shiba Inu marketing lead, took to X to caution SHIB holders against fraudulent schemes designed to exploit unsuspecting investors. 
Lucie <a href="https://x.com/lucieshib/status/1857728502650356039?s=46">highlighted</a> that the cryptocurrency space is often targeted by scammers who use deceptive tactics to lure investors. She explained that these individuals frequently pressure crypto holders by creating a sense of urgency or fear of missing out (FOMO), convincing them to invest in dubious schemes like pump-and-dump operations. 
Her message urged the community to remain vigilant and avoid falling for unrealistic promises or suspicious projects. While it’s natural for investors to seek profit, Lucie stressed that lasting wealth comes from patience and long-term holding rather than impulsive decisions driven by FOMO.

In another update, the Shiba Inu team, through the X account <a href="https://x.com/susbarium/status/1857734572034642264?s=46">@susbarium</a>, shared insights on how to distinguish between legitimate cryptocurrency projects and exploitative ones. This guidance focused on assessing whether a project contributes to the crypto ecosystem or merely extracts value for short-term gains. 
According to the team, authentic projects drive meaningful cryptocurrency adoption by building liquidity and fostering sustainable ecosystems. Such initiatives empower their communities with practical solutions, contributing to the long-term stability and growth of the ecosystem. 
On the other hand, exploitative projects prioritize hype over substance. These initiatives often take advantage of investor excitement to steal funds, offering little to no tangible benefits. 
In many cases, these projects abandon their communities once their objectives are achieved, leaving the ecosystem weaker than it was.
