Tech solutions provider Semler Scientific said it has achieved a Bitcoin yield of 37.3% since adopting its Bitcoin treasury strategy earlier this year, demonstrating significant growth for stakeholders.
The company uses Bitcoin (<a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/bitcoin-price" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_self" text="null" title="https://cointelegraph.com/bitcoin-price">BTC</a>) yield as a key performance indicator to assess the success of its BTC acquisition strategy. The firm said that the KPI is used to “supplement an investor’s understanding” of the company’s decision to fund BTC buys by issuing additional shares of its common stock.&nbsp;
Apart from Semler Scientific, business intelligence firm MicroStrategy <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/microstrategy-buys-2-billion-in-bitcoin" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="null" text="null" title="null">also uses BTC yield</a> to track the performance of its Bitcoin buys.&nbsp;
<h2 id="semler-scientific-boosts-btc-holdings-to-1-273">Semler Scientific boosts BTC holdings to 1,273</h2>
On Nov. 18, the company <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/semler-scientific-announces-btc-and-atm-activity-raised-21-5-million-purchased-additional-215-btc-now-holds-1-273-btc-with-btc-yield-of-37-3-302308149.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="null" text="null" title="null">announced</a> it had acquired an additional 215 Bitcoin for $17.7 million in cash between Nov. 6 and 15. The coins were bought at an average price of $82,502, including other expenses and fees.
With its most recent BTC purchase, Semler Scientific’s total BTC holdings reached 1,273, acquired for $88.7 million at an average price of $69,682. With Bitcoin trading at about $89,600, the value of the company’s BTC is now at around $114 million.&nbsp;
Eric Semler, chairman of Semler Scientific, said in a press release that the company’s BTC yield results demonstrate “substantial Bitcoin accretion” for their stakeholders. Semler said:&nbsp;

On Nov. 4, the company’s CEO, Doug Murphy-Chutorian, said Semler Scientific is “laser-focused on acquiring and holding Bitcoin.” The CEO also noted that the company is <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/semler-laser-focused-buying-bitcoin-increases-holdings" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="null" text="null" title="null">exploring financing opportunities</a> that could allow it to buy more BTC.

Metaplanet <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://contents.xj-storage.jp/xcontents/33500/67db9243/017a/415c/b149/7ec15632daf9/140120241118525549.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="null" text="null" title="null">said</a> it issued one-year ordinary bonds worth 1.75 billion yen (about $11.3 million) to buy more BTC. The publicly traded company said that its board of directors decided to issue the bonds for an annual interest rate of 0.36%. The company has set the redemption rate on Nov. 17, 2025.&nbsp;
