<p>Chromia, the Layer 1 relational blockchain, has confirmed the date for its highly anticipated Asgard Upgrade. The mainnet update will introduce a new framework that paves the way for more sophisticated decentralized applications while enhancing the core platform's modular capabilities. Not only will this improve user experience, but it will make it easier for developers to build powerful dapps that are massively scalable.</p>

<p><a href="https://chromia.com/">Chromia</a>, known for its unique relational architecture, is taking a bold step toward reshaping its blockchain with the Asgard Upgrade. It will see the release of Chromia Extensions, a modular system that enables developers to integrate advanced features on top of the existing network. This approach enhances the blockchain's versatility without compromising its foundational strengths, such as gas-free transactions and real-time data indexing.</p> 
<p>Chromia Extensions will change the way in which developers build on the Layer 1 chain. By offering modular enhancements, Extensions allow for the seamless integration of specialized functionalities. These additions ensure that developers can tailor their applications to meet specific needs while benefiting from Chromia's efficient and scalable infrastructure. According to Chromia co-founder Alex Mizrahi, “Extensions will add another layer of capability, making Chromia even more flexible and powerful.”</p> 
<h3 id="chromia-sees-better-oracles-with-a-little-help-from-stork">Chromia Sees Better Oracles With a Little Help From Stork&nbsp;</h3> 
<p>The other major innovation that comes bundled with the Asgard Upgrade is the Oracle Extension, poised for release in early December. Developed in collaboration with Stork, a leader in decentralized data solutions, this extension will enable real-time integration of off-chain data directly into blockchain applications. As a result, Chromia-based dapps will be able to access dynamic external data streams, broadening their utility in sectors such as DeFi, gaming, and supply chain management.</p> 
<p>Looking ahead, Chromia has also promised to launch its AI Inference Extension in Q1 2025. This development will unlock the ability to run AI models onchain, leveraging Chromia’s computational capabilities to support decentralized AI applications. By serving as a transparent data layer, Chromia aims to enhance the integrity and reliability of AI systems built on blockchain.</p> 
<p>According to Yeou Jie, Head of Business Development at Chromia, “Chromia’s unique relational architecture already allows AI-enabled blockchain projects to bring transparency to their training models, data sources, and inputs. The Inference Extension will advance this even further, allowing more elements of the AI process to operate directly onchain.”</p> 
<p>This aligns with Chromia's broader vision, as demonstrated by its Data and AI Ecosystem Fund, which supports projects operating at the intersection of blockchain and artificial intelligence. The fund aims to foster innovation and accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled blockchain solutions.</p>

<p>The Asgard Upgrade is more than a technical enhancement: it represents a strategic push to aggressively expand Chromia’s ecosystem.
