According to the exchange, the subscription period already underway seeks to accumulate no less than $30 million in deposits. Investors can initially participate using Tether’s stablecoin USDT and soon Bitcoin as well, with both subscription tokens and the offering itself overseen by Bitfinex Securities and indexed to a premier BlackRock ETF.

Jesse Knutson, Bitfinex Securities’ head of operations, notes the potential for portfolio diversification, balancing exposure to the volatility of crypto markets with the steady returns offered by complimentary traditional holdings.
