We have over six years of experience building tooling, RPCs, and indexing for developers, including setting up one of the first RPCs and Explorers for Polygon, we also saw a need for real-time data accessibility and integrity for applications that would bring users onchain. We wanted to create the infrastructure that could drive the future of social and financial experiences, one where social networks don’t just provide a platform for passive interaction but enable meaningful economic participation.We’re entering an era where the attention economy converges with capital markets, and this evolution is reshaping how people interact online. Traditional social networks like Twitter and Instagram hinge on engagement for dopamine hits, with emotional responses as the currency. By contrast, onchain networks facilitate actual value exchange: users can now speculate, invest, and participate financially in shared interests. This is evident in platforms like PumpFun, where users engage for social enjoyment and economic reward, or Polymarket, where social conversation is reflected in market outcomes and financial stakes. This shift turns social platforms into participatory networks driven by economic incentives rather than comments or likes alone.The infrastructure for this kind of social-financial ecosystem must be robust, adaptable, and able to operate at high speeds and low costs. Current data nodes are not optimized for the speed or fluidity required by social networks and capital markets, especially when every transaction or interaction counts as a tradeable event. Powerloom’s role in this new wave is to bridge that gap, providing an optimized, real-time, customizable data layer built specifically for Web3’s next-gen consumer apps. GPM, our Generative Prediction Markets, is an early example of what’s possible: a fully onchain, self-resolving market powered by over 1,000 nodes indexing and relaying data in real time. Traditional social networks are uni-directional, where users trade attention for content. In contrast, onchain networks introduce bi-directional. Usually, it&#39;s a symbiotic relationship where users create, engage, and participate in the network for economic or various incentives.Applications can vary from social networks like Farcaster to prediction markets like Polymarket to speculation platforms like Pump Fun, but the underlying assumption always stays the same. All these platforms need Users and a trusted data source that can be plugged in without building custom indexing infrastructure. Powerloom makes this possible with its decentralized network of 5300&#43; snapshotters (to date). Developers can just focus on building apps, and the Powerloom network can do all the heavy lifting needed to support these real-time, economically-driven interactions across multiple applications.Products like GPM (Generative Prediction Market) use Powerloom snapshots from the Uniswap data market to provide a transparent, automatic, and accurate market resolution based on token prices, creating a seamless onchain experience.Q3. How does Powerloom’s data protocol make onchain data more reliable and transparent for apps in DeFi, gaming, and social networks?Answer:Powerloom tackles the complexity of accessing reliable onchain data by removing intermediaries, streamlining infrastructure, and reducing costs for developers building DeFi, gaming, and social apps. With Powerloom, developers no longer need to maintain custom infrastructure or rely on costly, inconsistent APIs to access data. Instead, they can use readily available data snapshots from the Powerloom network. These snapshots are generated by a distributed network of snapshotters, finalized through a transparent consensus mechanism, and committed on IPFS with their CID as the unique identifier to ensure data correctness.DeFi protocols, GameFi apps, and NFT platforms can directly fetch and use these snapshots in their platforms without needing any additional queries or RPC requests.Powerloom creates a transparent ecosystem where applications can operate without compromising speed or accuracy by providing decentralized and real-time access to high-quality data. This democratized data infrastructure enables onchain applications to access and use Web3 data flexibly and reliably, catering to consumer apps and institutional platforms.Q4. In what ways can Powerloom empower creators and communities on Web3 social networks to directly capture the value they generate?Answer:Powerloom is a composable data network, which means anyone can build new use cases on top of existing data markets. Take the Uniswap dashboard example; 24-hour trading volume snapshots are publicly available, and this dataset is continuously updated. Suppose a developer wants to build a dashboard to show the weekly volume for these pairs. In that case, all he needs to do is compose on top of this existing data market and combine seven 24-hour snapshots to get the weekly trading volume, which can be easily used in the dashboard he&#39;s building. Since all the compute are open source by default, developers can either fork, modify them according to their needs, or even build on top of them.This creates an entirely new type of marketplace for compute and data markets. Even if someone doesn&#39;t have the technical expertise to write compute, they can just get someone to write compute. Once the compute are verified and published, the Powerloom network generates data snapshots that are readily available for use across multiple apps.GPM (Generative Prediction Market) is an excellent example of composability. It relies on Powerloom&#39;s Uniswap price snapshots to automatically generate and resolve markets in a completely decentralized way. However, these snapshots were initially designed and are still used to render the Uniswap dashboard (similar to https://info.uniswap.org). This saved GPM developers a lot of development effort and infrastructure costs.Powerloom&#39;s vision is to create an economy governed by demand and supply, empowering developers of all sizes to build open, transparent applications that use data that can be verified by anyone.Q5. How is Powerloom preparing for a successful TGE, and what milestones are you prioritizing to ensure long-term value for the community?Answer:Powerloom’s preparation for its TGE is rooted in a strong foundation of years of development, testing, and strategic scaling plans to create a sustainable onchain data ecosystem. The mainnet launch is a crucial milestone, enabling the network to serve diverse use cases at scale. Key features will include multi-data market nodes, providing greater snapshot and submission power, and launching Devnet as a dedicated developer sandbox.The POWER token will play a pivotal role by incentivizing ecosystem participants by offering staking, community rewards, and engagement incentives for early adopters.
