Decentralized telecommunications network <a href="https://chirpwireless.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Chirp</a> is excited to announce the launch of the play-to-earn (P2E) game “<a href="https://chirptoken.io/kage" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Kage</a>” on the Sui blockchain – the first-ever DePIN game that combines entertainment, rewards, and real-world utility.
Kage requires players to physically detect wireless networks like WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular towers with their smartphones. In return, they gain early access to the $CHIRP token – a Sui gem about to list on crypto exchanges.
Chirp’s ecosystem offers extensive IoT services to Real World Asset (RWA) projects, with geolocation forming a major component. By playing Kage, users are working to expand this capability, thereby strengthening the ecosystem and the $CHIRP token itself, which they, in turn, earn ahead of its launch on crypto exchanges.
This means that, unlike many other P2E games, Kage has a real-world purpose. The data collected by players will form a comprehensive community-powered global geolocation database, with business applications like indoor navigation and low-power geopositioning – technologies that enable mapping solutions in places where GPS can’t.&nbsp;
In addition, Kage will have an ongoing “Pokémon Go”-style treasure hunt where participating players can search for physical items equipped with Bluetooth beacons, and later also NFTs called “Feathers”, to unlock further rewards and in-game benefits. This campaign, dubbed “Wings of Chronos” will launch in Europe and expand to other regions worldwide.
Unlike Pokémon Go, however, which has been arguably clandestine about how it has used the data it has collected to build a comprehensive geolocation network, Chirp’s Kage is fully transparent. The Kage game slots easily into anyone’s life, since it can run smoothly in the background while players go about their day, turning their everyday activities into potential crypto earnings. The gameplay is simple – the more wireless signals players detect, the more “Data Chips” they collect, and the higher their position on the leaderboard, which results in more $CHIRP rewards. Players can get $CHIRP as soon as they start playing the game and will be able to claim them after the upcoming Token Generation Event (TGE).
The Kage game will be available to Android users and will require them to register on the <a href="https://chirptoken.io/kage/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Chirp platform</a> and link a Sui wallet to be able to earn rewards.
