On-chain sleuth ZachXBT alleges that a former professional Fortnight player from Australia has been involved in a series of meme coin scams that have stolen around $3.5 million collectively from investors.
ZachXBT said in a Nov. 27 X <a href="https://x.com/zachxbt/status/1861775015382790308" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">thread</a> that wallet addresses of the former Fortnight pro, who goes by the online alias “Serpent,” has “high exposure” to several meme coin scams launched through Pump.fun and that were promoted using compromised social media accounts.

ZachXBT said in the thread the former Fortnight player was involved in some of the biggest social media hacks this year, which all promoted fake tokens. These include the Aug. 21 McDonald’s Instagram account hack, which promoted a Solana meme coin called <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/is-it-too-late-to-buy-grimace-grimace-price-soars-662-after-mcdonalds-instagram-hack-and-this-might-be-the-next-crypto-to-explode" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GRIMACE</a>.&nbsp;

He was also involved in the compromise of Usher’s X account on Sep. 12, which was used to advertise the scam coin USHER. In addition to Usher’s X account, ZachXBT also linked “Serpent” to the Nov. 3 hack of Wiz Khalifa’s X account to promote the scam tokens WIZ and WIZZLE.
Other incidents that “Serpent” has been linked to include the hack of the X accounts belonging to Dean Norris, Ken Carson, Enoshima Aquarium, Truth Terminal creator Andy Ayrey, <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/6-best-altcoins-to-watch-today-october-26-helium-gnosis-spx6900-wemix" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SPX 6900</a>, as well as the compromised instagram account belonging to Kabosu Owner. All of these accounts were used to promote sham meme coins.

The pro-Fortnight player’s professional gaming journey came to an end in June 2020 after he was caught allegedly cheating. The eSports organization Overtime then released him. He has since been scamming people with fake crypto projects, according to ZachXBT.

In March 2022, “Serpent” co-founded the NFT project DAPE, which was later rug pulled. He then launched another project called ERROR in March 2024, which was rug pulled as well and got him banned from X.
