<p>The milestone comes amidst a stellar rally for the altcoin that saw it surge by over 250% in November alone. XRP changed hands at $1.8, up 19% in the last 24 hours, and 21.6% on the week. It has gained 202% since the turn of the year, making it <a href="https://coincu.com/294480-xrp-market-cap-has-now-surpassed-bnb/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the fifth-biggest cryptocurrency</a> by market capitalization, displacing BNB.</p>

<p>With XRP market cap of $104.5 billion, the token now trails only Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, and Solana, the latter of which has a market cap of approximately $115 billion. According to the latest data from <a href="https://8marketcap.com/?page=2" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Infinite Market Cap</a>, as XRP's market value surpasses $100 billion and continues to hit new highs, it has surpassed traditional tech giant Intel to rank 190th in the global asset market value rankings.</p>

<p>On Friday, XRP's price was closer to $2, and there were <a href="https://coincu.com/294500-ripple-stablecoin-rlusd-set-to-launch-december/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rumours</a> that New York regulators approved <a href="https://coincu.com/287314-ripple-rlusd-stablecoin-on-multiple-exchanges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin</a>. Also spurring the XRP price further was a potential launch of an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF), which is being discussed for 2025, adding even more bullish momentum with analysis indicating a very high possibility of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) endorsement.</p>  
<p>Ripple has given regulated stablecoin that directly competes with some stable alternatives to XRP. The legal move sets up Ripple as a serious competitor to long-standing issues of US stablecoins, such as Tether and Circle.</p>  
<p>After very difficult years of wrestling with the SEC, XRP warms up to institutional investors in the hope of much easier regulation, especially with the possibility of a re-election of Donald Trump.</p>
