Customers can still earn rewards on USDC balances until November 30, 2024, before the program officially ends. Coinbase attributes this change to compliance requirements under MiCA, which impose new standards for stablecoins.</p> 
<p class="p2"><a href="https://www.esma.europa.eu/esmas-activities/digital-finance-and-innovation/markets-crypto-assets-regulation-mica">MiCA regulations</a>, introduced in June 2023, mandate strict compliance by December 30, 2024. These rules prohibit offering yield on stablecoins, referred to as “e-money tokens.” Crypto firms operating within the EU must adhere to these laws to continue providing their services.</p>
