<h4><strong>Rootstock has had a busy November. Developers and users alike are seeing lots of improvements to the Rootstock chain, as well as other projects like Sovryn or its wrapped product rBTC.</strong></h4> 
<p>Let’s see what’s new with Rootstock (RSK).</p> 
<h5><strong>Developer Updates</strong></h5> 
<p>For Rootstock to stay popular as a Bitcoin Layer 2 and the home for DeFi on <a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/?s=bitcoin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bitcoin</a>, it has to be developer-friendly. And we know most of you reading this are not developers. But some of you are. And for those that aren’t, you can see how more developers in a project increase adoption down the line.</p> 
<p>Rootstock has new integrations for developers with Hyperlane and Alchemy.</p>

<p>With Hyperlane, developers can build with interoperability in mind, like for instance, building on Rootstock, but for EVM networks too. Alchemy is full of great tools including APIs that let developers connect RSK apps to other apps and protocols. And as a refresher, API is Application Programming Interface and it’s what lets apps talk to each other and share info.</p> 
<p>Developers are definitely catching the Rootstock fever, as evidenced by what happened at Builder Buzz during ETH Global in Bangkok as well.</p> 
<h5><strong>Rootstock Collective</strong></h5> 
<p>Rootstock Collective is the first DAO to launch on Rootstock. And it’s making some big moves to help increase adoption for Rootstock and Bitcoin Layer 2’s in general. The Collective is now sponsoring a <a href="https://gov.rootstockcollective.xyz/t/bitcoin-innovator-grant-wave-iii/118?u=rspa_stablelab" target="_blank" rel="noopener">grant for $45,000</a> total and up to $5,000 per project of rBTC to help funding new app development. rBTC is the project’s 1:1 pegged wrapped Bitcoin. But it’s better. As a Bitcoin sidechain, rBTC transactions finalize on the Bitcoin blockchain and not in a custodian’s ledger. For now, the grant application window is closed but I would watch for more of this as the Collective gets more active in the Rootstock community.</p> 
<p>And one more piece from the Rootstock Collective is their new Collective Rewards.</p>
