The Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA) has revealed that it will be hosting a new developer course&nbsp;in Switzerland as part of its European comeback. Starting in March 2025, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) will host PBA Campus’s&nbsp;cohort 6.
For the first time in over two years, Polkadot Blockchain Academy is being held in Europe for Cohort 6. As part of the Zug Blockchain initiative&nbsp;and the establishment of the new institution for blockchain research, classes will be given at HSLU’s campus in collaboration with their Blockchain Lab. Developers will learn practical skills&nbsp;for working with Polkadot and using blockchain technology to create innovative web3 applications over the almost three-week session.
Dr. Gavin Wood and many other prominent Polkadot figures&nbsp;will be teaching essential topics at Cohort 6. These will provide students with a comprehensive blockchain education and equip them with the information they need to become the next wave of innovators and thought leaders in blockchain engineering.
Although Polkadot’s tech stack is the main focus of the course material, PBA is intended for blockchain developers&nbsp;from a variety of backgrounds and ecosystems. It is intended for developers who are either web2 developers thinking about moving to web3 or developers who are currently working with blockchain.
The European cohort of PBA is projected to be in great demand, thus they must pass a rigorous screening procedure. Candidates must successfully complete a multiple-choice test proving they understand the basics of blockchain. Polkadot Blockchain Academy has created an online school called PBA-X, which may provide less experienced developers&nbsp;the information they need to pass the test. To get admitted, a programming assignment and interview must be completed satisfactorily.
The Polkadot Treasury will pay for all course costs, accommodation, and half-board for the approximately 100 developers who are anticipated to be admitted for Cohort 6 at HSLU. There will be two technical tracks available for the first time: the Dapps off-chain track and the established protocol on-chain track. This session, which is scheduled to make its debut in Rotkreuz, Zug, will provide students the tools they need to successfully traverse the rapidly changing world of decentralized apps and the technologies that enable them.
The Zug cohort of Polkadot Blockchain Academy will provide developers with the chance to grow their professional career, meet like-minded builders, and enhance their knowledge and abilities. Participants can use this opportunity as a launching pad to further their web3 career and find new opportunities as Polkadot-based teams hire in 2025. Organizations interested in the progress of graduates include Parity Technologies, the lead developer of Polkadot, Web3 Foundation, and Polkadot Fellows.
All backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome to enroll in the PBA. It allows developers to get a deeper understanding of Polkadot’s SDK and architecture. Alumni become Polkadot Fellows, launch their own businesses, and gain employment with ecosystem initiatives. PBA offers a solid basis for learning the foundations of blockchain technology and is taught by Dr. Gavin Wood and other Polkadot figures. The PBA is on a quest to find and develop the next generation of luminaries that Web3 requires.
