Renowned crypto analyst Michael van de Poppe predicts that the XRP price surge of 413% in the past month signals a profit rotation into other high-potential altcoins.
XRP’s bullish momentum continued in the last week, with the altcoin’s price soaring another 82% during this period to trade at $2.64 as of 5:11 a.m. EST. 
But the third-biggest altcoin by market capitalization only registered a slight increase in the last 24 hours, prompting some analysts to wonder if it has peaked, and how quickly that will prompt traders to look for new opportunities.

Van de Poppe told his more than 747.4K X followers in a Dec. 3 post that <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/xrp-price-prediction-analyst-sets-2025-xrp-fomo-target-at-6-60-as-investors-rush-to-buy-pepe-unchained-before-major-exchange-listings" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP</a> has become “the prime indicator for altcoin strength.”&nbsp;

“The last time this explosive move happened, it was the start of the altcoin period,” the analyst said. Now, van de Poppe believes “a big rotation from XRP towards other altcoins” will soon take place.
Pseudonymous analyst and trader <a href="https://x.com/CryptoWizardd/status/1863618974493130898" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Wizz</a> also believes a capital rotation will happen soon. However, the X user predicted that leading meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) will benefit from this capital movement. DOGE has not performed as well as XRP in the last month, but still posted a 165% gain in the last 30 days.&nbsp;
Wizz’s bullish outlook for the leading meme coin comes after US President-elect Donald <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/paul-atkins-leads-kalshi-odds-for-sec-chair-after-reports-trump-team-reached-out" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Trump</a> named Elon Musk as one of the people who will run the proposed Department of Government Efficiency, known by the ticker DOGE. 
Dogecoin has frequently benefitted from news around the new department because Musk has long been a fan of the biggest meme coin by market capitalization.
