 21Shares, a leading provider of crypto-based financial products in Europe, has released its 2025 State of Crypto Market Outlook, offering an optimistic view of the industry’s trajectory. The <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://connect.21shares.com/market-outlook-2025" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">report</a>, published on December 9, identifies key trends, including Bitcoin’s continued rise, Ethereum’s revenue recovery, and the rapid expansion of stablecoins.

The firm predicted that assets under management (AUM) in crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) could surge to $150 billion by 2025. This growth is expected to be driven by increasing institutional interest, U.S. regulatory approvals, and improving macroeconomic conditions.
Another prediction is that more nation-states could adopt Bitcoin as a reserve asset, with countries such as Argentina likely leading the way. The report also anticipates Bitcoin’s total value locked (TVL) exceeding $10 billion by the end of 2025.
Ethereum is also expected to regain momentum, with revenue growth driven by strategic Layer 2 integrations likely surpassing 100%. The firm predicted that stablecoins would solidify their position as one of crypto’s most practical use cases due to increased adoption by both traditional finance players and web2 companies.
Adrian Fritz, head of research at the firm, commented on the shifting dynamics in global markets, stating

21Shares’ report also highlights the firm’s success, noting that AUM surpassed $10 billion in 2024. The company plans to expand its leadership team in 2025 to support its growth plans.
Notably, <a href="https://defi-planet.com/2024/11/21shares-ethereum-core-etp-now-offers-staking-reward/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">21Shares recently introduced staking to its Ethereum Core ETP,</a> rebranding it as the 21Shares Ethereum Core Staking ETP. This update, announced on November 19, allows investors to earn potential income through staking while maintaining exposure to Ethereum (ETH).&nbsp;
The rebranded Ethereum Core Staking ETP, now listed under the ETHC ticker, is available on several major exchanges, including the SIX Swiss Exchange, Deutsche Börse Xetra, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Paris, and the London Stock Exchange.
