<p>Bluefin, a decentralized perpetual exchange on the Sui ecosystem, announced the launch of the BLUE token on December 11, 2024. The protocol plans to airdrop 17.15% of the total token supply to various communities.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://x.com/bluefinapp/status/1862158399691239597" data-type="link" data-id="https://x.com/bluefinapp/status/1862158399691239597" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">airdrop distribution</a> includes existing Bluefin participants, long-term community members, and multiple ecosystem partners. Eligible users span across Sui ecosystem projects (Suilend, Bucket, Hop), NFT communities (Pudgy Penguins, MadLads, Azuki), and collaborative communities on Solana and EVM chains. Notably, <a href="https://x.com/CetusProtocol/status/1862336450601394576" data-type="link" data-id="https://x.com/CetusProtocol/status/1862336450601394576" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">xCETUS holders</a> from early November are eligible for a portion of the BLUE token allocation.</p>

<p>Bluefin has grown immensely since it migrated from Arbitrum to Sui in 2023. According to DefiLlama data, the protocol has amassed close to <a href="https://defillama.com/protocol/bluefin?volume=true&amp;groupBy=cumulative#derivatives-volume" data-type="link" data-id="https://defillama.com/protocol/bluefin?volume=true&amp;groupBy=cumulative#derivatives-volume" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$35 billion in trading volume</a> and sustains a Total Value Locked of more than $35 million. Being a Perpetual DEX, Bluefin aims to offer rapid transactions with low fees in the Sui network.</p>

<p>On 15 October, the exchange reportedly partnered with <a href="https://x.com/bluefinapp/status/1845833391180034314" data-type="link" data-id="https://x.com/bluefinapp/status/1845833391180034314" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Pyth Network</a> to distribute 500,000 PYTH tokens as rewards. Snapshots were taken on July 16 and October 7, with users receiving between 20 and 2,000 PYTH tokens based on their level. The rewards were distributed to Sui wallets in the form of wPYTH.</p>
