Moreover, over 109 million on-chain wallets are holding USDT by Q4 2024, making it one of the most widely held digital assets.</p><p><a href="https://cryptosnewss.com/robinhood-crypto-eu-adds-circles-usdc-stablecoin/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">USDC</a>, the second-largest stablecoin issued by Circle, has also grown, reaching nearly $41 billion in market value, up by 5% in the same period.</p><h2 id="header-1">Key Factors Driving Growth</h2><p>Several factors are contributing to the rapid expansion of the stablecoin market. One of the main drivers is the increasing integration in everyday financial systems, including remittances and peer-to-peer payment platforms. Stablecoins offer an alternative means of transferring value, especially in countries with depreciating local currencies.</p><p>In addition, stablecoins are gaining traction as a yield-generating investment vehicle. This regulatory clarity will enable traditional financial institutions, like banks, to enter the cryptocurrency market.</p><p>Consequently, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon recently signaled the firm’s potential cryptocurrency expansion, contingent on regulatory shifts.
