<p>Among the highlights in this <a href="https://www.vaneck.com/us/en/blogs/digital-assets/matthew-sigel-vanecks-10-crypto-predictions-for-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">VanEck Crypto Predictions</a> report is <a href="https://coincu.com/295562-bitcoin-price-drops-7-after-historic-100k-surge/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> reaching $180,000, Ethereum surpassing $6,000 and more, plus a greater maturation of the blockchain ecosystem in general.</p>  
<p>The firm still sees the crypto bull market peaking twice in 2025-once during the first quarter and another in the fourth. For the first peak, the analysts predict Bitcoin will reach $180,000, while <a href="https://coincu.com/295977-ethereum-spot-etf-inflows-hit-837m-weekly/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum</a> will trade above $6,000. Altcoins, <a href="https://coincu.com/288321-vaneck-solana-etn-in-europe-supports-staking/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana</a> and <a href="https://coincu.com/291994-vaneck-sui-etn-now-available-for-europe-region/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Sui</a> could reach $500 and $10, respectively.</p>  
<p>VanEck predicts a 30% pullback in Bitcoin's price following the initial peak, while altcoins could experience sharper declines of as high as 60%. However, it anticipates a rebound this fall, with major tokens reclaiming their record highs by year-end.</p>  
<p>In addition to price predictions, VanEck expects the United States to adopt Bitcoin strategically, which includes the creation of Bitcoin reserves. The VanEck Crypto Predictions report also points to increased blockchain-based financial instruments, with a more than $50 billion valuation for tokenized securities and $300 billion in daily stablecoin settlements.</p>  
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="ai-integration-and-defi-sector-set-for-major-expansion-in-2025">AI Integration and DeFi Sector Set for Major Expansion in 2025</h2>  
<p>The other focus is on integrating <a href="https://coincu.com/287188-vaneck-ai-robots-powering-meme-coins/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">artificial intelligence</a> into the blockchain. <a href="https://coincu.com/286452-vaneck-crypto-fund-launched/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">VanEck</a> also expects more than one million AI agents on-chain by 2025. It is also projected that Layer 2 solutions on Bitcoin would each scale up to 100,000 BTC in TVL, enhancing scalability. In addition, Ethereum's fee revenue from blob space might rise past $1 billion to cement its leading position in decentralized applications.</p>  
<p>The DeFi market is about to grow, with the total value locked reaching $200 billion, decentralized exchange trading volumes reaching $4 trillion, and non-fungible token trading volumes recovering to $30 billion.</p>
