Billy Markus, known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto on X, recently<a href="https://x.com/BillyM2k/status/1867842381489614861" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> commented</a> on a Galaxy Research article from May 2021. The piece explored the whimsical origins and unconventional design choices behind Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency Markus co-created in 2013 as a joke.&nbsp;  
Among the article’s observations, one line stood out to Markus: "Monetary flexibility. Dogecoin’s unreasonably short maturity window wasn’t the only bizarre design choice made by the creators of the asset." Markus, in his trademark humorous tone, explained his motivation simply: "I did it cuz I thought it would be fun."&nbsp;&nbsp;
