Frank Richard Ahlgren III has been sentenced to two years in prison by the U.S. Department of Justice for underreporting his profits from Bitcoin investments. However, Ahlgren did not fully report the income he earned from these Bitcoin sales on his 2017 tax return. By underreporting his profits, he attempted to evade tax payments. Additionally, he failed to report over $650,000 in sales made in 2018 and 2019.
