Senator Cynthia Lummis also supported this notion, asserting that Congress should pivot towards Bitcoin for innovation and competitiveness through her proposed Bitcoin Act.

Lawmaker Satoshi Hamada questioned, “While the U.S. takes this step, will Japan be left behind?” He suggested that Japan should allocate part of its foreign reserves to digital assets like Bitcoin. SEC officials explained, “This project is designed for testing innovative ideas.
