 Indonesia’s leading crypto exchange, PINTU, has<a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/apac/news-releases/pintu-launches-pintu-pro-futures-with-25x-leverage-302328720.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> introduced</a> Pintu Pro Futures, a new feature that enables users to trade cryptocurrency derivatives legally and securely.

The feature offers access to perpetual futures contracts, which are derivatives without expiration dates, for popular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Dogecoin (DOGE), paired with USDT. It also includes tools like margin indicators, auto-close orders, and transparent calculations to help traders manage their activities efficiently.
PINTU claimed the feature was designed to attract local traders who previously relied on international platforms.

Crypto derivatives trading in Indonesia is<a href="https://murzallawfirm.com/the-overview-of-regulatory-landscape-for-crypto-assets-in-indonesia/#:~:text=Trading%20crypto%20assets%20is%20generally,physical%20markets%20for%20crypto%20assets." rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> governed</a> by BAPPEBTI Regulation Number 8 of 2021, and it involves oversight from self-regulatory organizations such as the Crypto Futures Exchange (CFX), clearing institutions, custodians, and brokers adhering to national laws. The exchange noted that the Pintu Pro Futures was developed in collaboration with a BAPPEBTI-registered Futures Broker and under the oversight of the CFX.
Notably, this new feature launch positions PINTU as Indonesia’s first all-in-one crypto platform. It also strengthens its leadership in a fast-growing cryptocurrency ecosystem. According to BAPPEBTI, the country’s regulatory body, Indonesia &nbsp;has<a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://defi-planet.com/2024/11/indonesias-crypto-market-hits-30-billion-surges-352-year-on-year/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> witnessed a 352% surge in crypto transaction volumes</a>, reaching $30 billion by October 2024, compared to $6.5 billion during the same period last year.
This year’s transaction volume already surpasses the combined totals of 2022 ($19.4 billion) and 2023 ($6.5 billion), although it remains below the 2021 crypto bull run peak of $54 billion. Additionally, Indonesia now boasts 21 million crypto traders, with 716,000 actively trading on locally registered exchanges, underscoring its status as a global leader in crypto adoption.
