<p>Over the weekend, Lagos was lit as Spotify threw down an unforgettable Wrapped 2024 party at the Space Hub in Lekki. The event marked the culmination of the annual Spotify Wrapped parties that had been held in Johannesburg and Nairobi. </p> 
<p>This year’s Wrapped party was a celebration of music’s power to unite, inspire, and uplift. It showed the undeniable impact of Afrobeats, celebrated the rise of Nigerian artists, and provided a platform for the next generation of music talent.</p> 
<p><em>“The Wrapped party was a testament to the growth of Nigerian music on Spotify this year. Witnessing the energy and the sheer talent on display was truly inspiring. <p>Launched in 2021, Wrapped summarises the sound selection of listeners across the year and has often unveiled hidden gems in the music scene. Spotify unveiled the 2024 edition of its annual users’ listening report two weeks ago. Consequently, users took to social media to share their personalised playlists featuring music videos from their most-loved artists of the year.</p> 
<p>For the&nbsp;<a href="https://technext24.com/2022/12/01/wrapped-2022-burna-boy-tops-spotify-chart/">fourth year running</a>, the spotlight has fallen on Nigeria’s vibrant music scene as a global force to be reckoned with. YBNL star, Asake again leads the list as the most-streamed artist in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), specifically in&nbsp; Nigeria, Gambia, and Benin. Asake has been a revelation in 2022.</p> 
<p>Similarly, rising stars Ayo Maff and Muyeez stormed the most-streamed tracks list with tracks “Dealer” and “Instagram,” proving the industry’s bright future. Young Jonn’s hits “Aquafina” and “Stronger” showcased his staying power, while Burna Boy held his own with “Higher.” It’s a dynamic blend of old and new, driving the industry forward.</p> 
<p>The report also indicates that Burna Boy’s global impact is undeniable. He’s Nigeria’s most-exported artist and the only Nigerian in the UK’s Top 100. Rising global star and Spotify RADAR alumna Ayra Starr is also making waves.</p>

<p>The event was a celebration of Nigerian music’s global takeover. Media personalities, social media influencers, and music lovers all gathered to honour the incredible year in Nigerian music.</p> 
<p>The party had a non-stop vibe, featuring a stellar lineup of artists and DJs. These talented performers captivated the audience with their unique sounds, showcasing their creativity and providing a platform for music lovers to discover their music.</p> 
<p>The dynamic M.I.A. hosted the night, bringing her catching energy and signature style to the event. The party was electric from start to finish.</p> 
<p><a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/5qdXUxsjbP0UAig0CtqO5b" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brazy</a> kicked things off with her TikTok hits, and then <a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/3sjmAVaeka80SCvK69bedW" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joshua Baraka</a> from Uganda blew everyone away with songs like <a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/3pU5thrIWedorXzDa3gOjb" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dalilah</a> and <a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/0GGqTWIIMuFydHBlGatynR" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Digii IV</a>. <a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/7H4WTvvOCWtAuj3gMoldrt" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fido</a> teased his new single, <a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/1rDAxzBd3KhzIAZyTZylmX" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joy Is Coming</a> and then dropped his chart-topping hit <a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/1136eJrkWsDvReASbjLTaU" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Awolowo</a>, sending the energy through the roof.</p>

<p><a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/4kuHnKdDObYPKYPcyJC4f6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ayo Maff</a>, one of Nigeria’s most streamed artists this year, kept the party lit with his hits, and then <a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/7CIv1IE8oNZQwpeQGHDofV" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Morravey</a> mesmerised everyone with her unique sound. <a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/3sHq8pB8IoGvnatMuoixwd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zerrydl</a>, one of the most talked about breakthrough artists, delivered a killer set that had everyone buzzing.</p> 
<p><a href="https://open.spotify.com/artist/7eEP4TA1RioDH3OBKPcQEC" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kaestyle</a>, Mr. Dealer kept the energy electric with dynamic performances, ensuring the dancefloor remained packed throughout the night, while the up-and-coming artist Deela also delivered a stunning performance.</p> 
<p>The DJs were on fire too! Wearethechemicals and Aniko, two amazing female DJs, got the party started with their EDM sounds. DJ 4kerty also kept the energy high with a mix of street pop and Afrodura classics.</p>

<p>Then, DJ Tunez took the stage and blew the roof off with mixes to songs that ignited the crowd. London brought his signature sound to Lagos, and finally, DJ YK Mule brought the house down with a unique mix of street pop songs.</p>
