Ripple Labs has gained approval from the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) to launch RLUSD, a US dollar-backed stablecoin. CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced on December 10 that the stablecoin would soon debut on multiple exchanges and partnerships.
