Quai Network CTO Karl Kreder received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas and later worked at ConsenSys. Quai is essentially a scalable POW system capable of processing more than 50,000 transactions per second while maintaining a decentralized structure similar to Bitcoin, by using a layered merged mining blockchain architecture to ensure high throughput without sacrificing decentralization.
