$BTC IF NEW TO CRYPTO: Understand why circulation supply affects price. Only example using
$VET: On Dec 3rd VET hit .08 cents/6.5B mcap. But April 5th 2021 VET hit 6.5B mcap & it was .1025
That's because in 2021 VET only had 67.3B tokens in circulation, now it has 80.98B. And an .0225 price difference may seem like a lot, but put in perspective: A VET 22.6B mcap is needed now to get back to that April 18th 2021 price of .28.
Point is, if you're a newb who just looks at a price of where an asset was previously & assum it will easily get back there; if you're not doing the math to understand how new circulation increases may affect that, then that's bad business & could lead to ALL your speculations turing to shyt
My order of importance when it comes to altcoin;
* Industry disruptors with new tech needed in the space to get closer to interoperability. Good partnerships & investors-"these things will allow hype train to flourish in bullish times!"
* Exchange listings-these are on & off ramps, without them there is no liquidity & easy way for traders to exit & enter
* Circulation supply-A must to know the suppy of this, how it has increased if its an asset thats been around many years. Or to know vesting/emission release schedule of new tokens unlocking/entering cirulation for newer projects. Not knowing or understanding how circulation supply impacts price is very bad business (Mcap divided by circulation supply=price)
* Marketcap-Larger the mcap the greater volumes of money need to enter this asset to gain big moves up. If a person is gonna enter a very high quality gem with a high mcap, the time to do so in my opinion is 1st/2nd year in btc new cycle. After this timeline the volume & price increases already move up to a level that shrinks opportunity in such a large volume mcap asset
* Social media & following-U want to see active engagement on social media sites, hype train/communities pump assets
My opinions, dyor, what do I know, I'm nobody, just sayn!🍻
