🌎 Trump Meets Bukele: No Talk of 
$BTC
During their recent meeting, Presidents Donald Trump and Nayib Bukele discussed trade and immigration, but surprisingly, $BTC was not on the agenda. 🚫 Instead, they focused on tariffs, with Trump expressing his fondness for them and even discussing potential tariff relief for the auto industry in parts of Central and Southern America. Immigration also came up, with Trump suggesting the transfer of U.S. criminals to El Salvador’s prisons.
As for Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador, it’s been slow. While some tourist areas embrace BTC, most of the country still uses fiat currency. Bukele also had to reverse some of the country’s BTC-friendly policies to secure a loan from the IMF, including halting tax payments in crypto.
Despite these setbacks, El Salvador continues its crypto push, especially with Tether relocating to the country earlier this year.
