<p>Take a deep breath: Bitcoin now represents 1.3% of the world’s money, with a market cap flirting with 1.7 trillion dollars. Yes, you read that right. A small piece of code born in 2009 has climbed to the same buffet as the big shots like the US dollar (20.9 trillion dollars) or gold (20.2 trillion dollars). We may still be far from flipping the table, but clearly, Satoshi laid his napkin well.</p>
<h2 id="h-bitcoin-has-multiplied-its-weight-by-6-in-5-years">Bitcoin has multiplied its weight by 6 in 5 years!</h2>
<p>In front of Bitcoin, the ocean of fiat money still weighs 108.2 trillion dollars (83.2%). A giant tide, hard to shake. But BTC is that little clever current that starts to move the boats with its 1.3%. A figure that could continue to rise, especially at this moment when the American government is <a href="https://www.cointribune.com/en/the-trump-administration-wants-to-accumulate-bitcoin-as-much-as-possible/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ready to stockpile BTC en masse</a>.</p>

<p>Just five years ago, Bitcoin barely weighed 0.2% of global money. You could say it didn’t make much of an impact. And today? It’s starting to carve out a place at the table of the big players, quietly, with its well-tailored digital suit.</p>

<p>But beware, friends: <a href="https://fr.tradingview.com/symbols/BTC/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the market cap</a> is one thing. Everyday adoption is another. For now, Bitcoin is a bit like that quiet cousin we admire during family meals but don’t yet invite to do the shopping or pay for coffee. Store of value? Absolutely. Means of payment? Yes, but not yet routine.</p>

<p>That being said, 1.3% for Bitcoin is a nice start to conquest, especially when we know that every increase in Bitcoin dominance shakes the entire zoo of altcoins. And yes, when the king sneezes, the other coins catch a cold… so, is altseason in sight?</p>
<p>What to remember? That little Bitcoin has grown up well. It walks, it talks, it weighs. And it’s not about to stop, especially since <a href="https://www.cointribune.com/en/bitcoins-supremacy-is-intensifying/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">its supremacy is intensifying</a>. The road is still long, of course. But with 1.3% in pocket and a community more excited than a trader in a bull run, we can say that the future smells good for the block…</p>
