<a href="https://contents.xj-storage.jp/xcontents/33500/18774b9a/4535/44d5/a00a/72510d180c53/140120250319596926.pdf">According to the company’s official statement on March 24,</a> this latest purchase increases Metaplanet’s total Bitcoin holdings to 3,350 BTC. The cumulative cost of these assets now stands at ¥42.22 billion (270 million), with an average acquisition price of ¥12.60 million (80,200) per BTC. Since integrating Bitcoin as a core element of its business strategy, Metaplanet has quickly emerged as Asia’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder. 
To finance its Bitcoin acquisitions, Metaplanet has leveraged stock acquisition rights through EVO FUND and zero-coupon bonds. Notably, in March alone, the company redeemed ¥2 billion (approximately $12.8 million) in bonds ahead of schedule while raising an additional ¥2 billion ($12.8 million) through a new bond issuance. This strategic approach has enabled Metaplanet to continue accumulating Bitcoin without taking on interest-bearing debt, allowing for a more sustainable expansion of its treasury. 
Meanwhile, a key metric that Metaplanet uses to monitor its Bitcoin strategy is BTC Yield, which measures the percentage increase in Bitcoin holdings relative to fully diluted shares. This metric has proven significant as Metaplanet’s Bitcoin Yield surged by 309.8% in the fourth quarter of 2024 and reached 68.3% in the first quarter of 2025. Since the company began accumulating Bitcoin in April 2024, its stock price has soared by over 3,000%, reflecting strong investor confidence in its strategic direction. 
In addition to its financial strategies, Metaplanet is <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://defi-planet.com/2025/03/japans-metaplanet-names-eric-trump-to-its-bitcoin-advisory-board/">strengthening</a> its leadership by forming a new advisory board, with Eric Trump as the first member. His real estate and finance background is expected to provide valuable insights to support Metaplanet’s goal of becoming a leading Bitcoin Treasury Company. CEO Simon Gerovich emphasized that the board will include influential figures promoting Bitcoin adoption.
