About Graphite Network
About Graphite
What is Graphite (@G)? Graphite Network is a Layer-1, PoA (Proof-of-Authority) blockchain that combines a reputation-based framework with a unique income generation model for entry-point node operators. With entry-point node income, network participants can earn rewards while enhancing network decentralization and contributing to its secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure.
At its heart, Graphite Network’s reputation system promotes trust and accountability across the ecosystem. With integrated KYC verification and scoring mechanisms, it balances privacy and transparency to establish a "one user - one account" model, creating a secure and reliable environment designed for mass adoption.
Built with developers in mind, Graphite offers an EVM-compatible, developer-friendly ecosystem for building decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. Its high throughput, low-latency transactions, and robust infrastructure make it ideal for real-world applications in industries like finance, supply chain and identity management.
Network Background Graphite was launched in 2021 by the Graphite Foundation, a non-profit organization responsible for all development on the Graphite network. Through various endeavors, the Foundation works to spur growth and maintain network and ecosystem health.
Key Features Graphite has a number of key features that distinguish it from other blockchain networks, including:
Entry-Point Node Income One of the features that makes Graphite unique in the blockchain industry is the opportunity it provides for entry-point nodes to earn directly from blockchain operations. Normally, operating a network node requires a significant amount of computing power and resources, prohibiting many individuals and projects.
Graphite has employed a novel approach to node operation, opening the door for enterprises of any size, startups and developers to start making passive income off of network operations. Entry-point nodes are entitled to 50% of the fees generated from network transactions, incentivizing decentralization and the maintenance of network health.
Reputation-Based blockchain According to the Graphite whitepaper, the network was built to be an ecosystem that is transparent and free of many of the trust and reputational issues that plague blockchain networks without sacrificing user privacy and anonymity.
To resolve the trust issues in the crypto industry, Graphite has been built as a blockchain that reduces the risk of dealing with non-savory parties. This has been achieved by introducing a one-user, one-account policy, wherein each user is limited to a sole account and each account is given a reputation score based on behavioral factors and activity.
KYC Integration Graphite has a built-in KYC structure with multiple tiers depending on the verification level of an account. The higher an account’s KYC level, the higher the level of control they have over their financial operations on the network, including the ability to set custom parameters on the accounts with which they will transact.
While the network’s built-in KYC mechanics are central to its economic operations, participation is not mandatory. Users can still maintain their privacy and transact on Graphite anonymously. The only requirement for using Graphite is account activation, in which a user pays a nominal fee to activate their wallet, preventing the proliferation of inactive accounts.
@G Ticker System To help users navigate the ecosystem more easily, a new ticker system (@G) has been rolled out by the Graphite team. Now, stablecoins like USD@G will clearly indicate which network they belong to, which will help reduce the confusion that often exists in the market.
