Scroll has reached several major milestones that highlight its commitment to scaling Ethereum and supporting the next generation of blockchain builders and founders.

The launch of the Scroll Mainnet in October 2023 was a pivotal moment, establishing Scroll as a production-ready zkEVM rollup capable of supporting real-world transactions. To further its commitment to decentralization and security, Scroll introduced a $1M bug bounty program in late 2023, incentivizing researchers to strengthen the network.

A core focus for Scroll is empowering builders to create meaningful onchain solutions. In January 2025, Scroll launched Scroll Open, a global program providing mentorship, resources, and hands-on experience to founders and developers. This initiative is complemented by Scroll Campus, an eight-week in-person experience in Malaysia that will further support selected participants in refining their projects. Additionally, the Africa Tour in March 2025 has seen Scroll engaging with developers, founders, and regulators across Nigeria and Kenya, reinforcing its mission to support innovation in diverse regions.

On the technical side, Scroll continues to push the boundaries of zero-knowledge technology. In December 2024, Scroll introduced the OpenVM framework in collaboration with Axiom, paving the way for future advancements in zkVM development and further enhancing its infrastructure for developers.
