SmartHoldem STH is a cryptocurrency and blockchain-based platform that allows anyone to create high-performance Web3 games. By using new types of transactions, TRNG service, ZKP functions, and popular programming languages, SmartHoldem is reducing the crypto industry's reliance on smart contracts. The network runs on a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) BFT consensus mechanism, which aims to offer scalability and low fees.
What Makes SmartHoldem STH Unique?
SmartHoldem aims to transform the gaming industry with its blockchain-provably fair gaming technology.
SmartHoldem platform provides provably fair solutions for game developers and iGaming. Blockchain SmartHoldem allows developers to build fair, decentralized, transparent, and immutable multiplayer Web3 games, Dapps, and services.
SmartHoldem's Blockchain-Provably Fair algorithm guarantees a level playing field for everyone. Most importantly, the result was and will be completely random and free from human intervention, central authority, or third parties.
SmartHoldem STH is available for trading on a growing number of exchanges, with cryptocurrency and stablecoin pairs currently available.
STH is the native cryptocurrency of SmartHoldem blockchain.
SmartHoldem STH is a hard-capped, scarce asset that is used for:
Fees for processing various types of transactions
Fuel for Games and Apps
Running validator nodes on the network
Used for governance votes to elect Top 21delegates
SmartHoldem Web3 tools include:
SmartHoldem SDKs include standard data structures and testing tools for JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
SmartHoldem advanced API for developing Web3 games on the blockchain
SmartHoldem Wallet module that lets application developers create streamlined user experiences.
SmartHoldem Explorer to track transactions and network performance.
SmartHoldem Command Line Tools to allow developers to deploy applications from local environments.
SmartHoldem True random number generator provides 100% random, trustworthy, and fair results in Web3 games that can be verified using cryptographic proofs.
SmartHoldem TRNG API lets developers use random outcomes in blockchain gaming applications, such as map generation, draws, matchmaking in multiplayer games, card draw order, and random encounters/events.
History of SmartHoldem
SmartHoldem was founded in late 2017 and raised $170k in Bitcoin and other cryptos through an initial distribution. The distribution was overseen by the reputable Escrows of the BitcoinTalk forum, who were selected by members of the SmartHoldem community. During the initial distribution, 83% of the total STH supply was allocated to SmartHoldem ICO participants, 8% to advisors and angels, 3% to Bounty campaign participants, and 6% was reserved in the Dev fund.
SmartHoldem launched its Mainnet on December 14, 2017, with 240M SmartHoldem STH coins created at Genesis. Explore SmartHoldem Chronology
The SmartHoldem blockchain was updated to version 2.0 in August 2023. The platform developers developed the new SmartHoldem blockchain over two years. SmartHoldem 2.0 is a fundamental change in the platform's structure, which solves the well-known blockchain trilemma, consisting of three main tasks: security, scalability, and decentralization.
What is SmartHoldem 2.0
SmartHoldem 2.0 is a next-generation open-source hybrid blockchain platform based on the world's first consensus mechanism with a unique combination of Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and Proof of SpaceTime (PoSt) algorithms.
The SmartHoldem DPoS blockchain Layer 1 can process over 5,000,000,000 transactions daily, providing many functionalities for creating high-quality next-generation gaming applications with new types of gaming transactions and blockchain-provably fair gaming technology.
SmartHoldem's DPoS blockchain includes new transaction types such as multi-payments, gaming transactions, multi-signatures, crypto-signatures, second passphrase, burn transactions, registration transactions, IPFS hash transactions, hashed time-locked contract (HTLC), advanced crypto function protocol with ZKP (Zero-Knowledge Proof), resignation of the delegate, and registration of copyright.
SmartHoldem DPoS
SmartHoldem DPoS L1 is decentralized and governed by a community of digital asset owners. It runs on a delegated proof-of-stake blockchain with 21 top delegate (BFT) slots and 8-second block times.
Delegates are responsible for securing the blockchain network. They verify transactions, create new blocks, and protect the SmartHoldem network. In return for each signed block, delegates receive rewards. Delegates cannot alter information about blockchain transactions or influence them.
SmartHoldem STH coin holders elect delegates. The delegation system is highly competitive, as a delegate can move into or out of the TOP 21 position anytime. If the community feels that a delegate is not doing a good job or someone else could do a better job, the delegate can be replaced.
The voting power of coin holders is locked at 1 STH = 1 Vote. Holders cannot vote for more than one delegate with a given wallet address. The STH used in voting is not locked, and the holder can transfer coins from the voting wallet address anytime.
Anyone can become a SmartHoldem delegate. In SmartHoldem DPOS, only 21 active delegates can be in the TOP, other registered delegates are in relay node mode.
Delegate Rewards
The delegate who signs the block receives all fees for the transactions included in the block. Various transactions have their own fee in the SmartHoldem blockchain.
Deflationary model with limited emission
After the global update 2.0 of the platform infrastructure, SmartHoldem has transitioned from an Inflationary model with limited emission to a Deflationary model with limited emission.
Emission in DPoS SmartHoldem L1 has been completely stopped.
The deflationary model will reduce the total supply of the SmartHoldem STH cryptocurrency. The SmartHoldem DPoS network has a deflationary mechanism that burns 50% of blockchain fees.
DPoS + PoSt
The integration of DPoS with PoSt improves SmartHoldem's scalability. Combining DPoS and PoSt consensus mechanisms within a single blockchain infrastructure creates a stronger and more efficient network. DPoS's fast transaction speeds and ability to handle numerous transactions complement PoSt's energy-efficient validation process.
DPoS allows coin holders to elect delegates, giving them a voice in the network's governance. By combining this with POST consensus, where farmers/miners are directly linked to the ability to validate transactions, Smartholdem achieves a more decentralized power distribution.
The launch of the SmartHoldem PoSt L2 testnet is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024. After the beta test is successfully completed, the PoSt Mainnet will be deployed.
Smart Inter-Chain Data Communication Protocol
The interaction between DPoS and PoSt blockchains will be implemented through an innovative SID protocol. This protocol, which stands for Smart Inter-Chain Data Communication Protocol, will be integrated into the DpoS and PoSt SmartHoldem nodes, where blockchains can directly communicate for certain types of transactions. The SID module ensures that the SmartHoldem STH coin is not duplicated in another blockchain, further enhancing the system's integrity.
