According to the announcement on December 11, the inaugural collection will feature 100 NFTs and will debut on December 15. One of the highlights of the collection will be the opportunity for fans to secure tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. Additionally, a total of 900 other digital collectibles will be released on the Polygon network and OpenSea throughout the month. These collectibles will showcase memorable moments from the ongoing tournament and digital versions of coveted memorabilia.

The NFTs will be available on FIFA's own platform, FIFA+ Collect, which was launched in September 2022 and is powered by Algorand. Romy Gai, FIFA’s Chief Business Officer, said that “these new launches, both this year and beyond, will provide football fans with a unique and innovative way to connect with the sport, while also contributing to the growth of the digital collectibles market.”

Since its inception, the FIFA+ Collect platform has conducted 11 NFT drops, resulting in the minting of 909,255 digital collectibles and attracting 16,448 holders. The platform has generated a total trading volume of $2.4 million across primary and secondary NFT markets.
