Forgotten Runiverse, a Web3 MMORPG developed by Bisonic, is set to launch its Early Access later this quarter on both mobile and PC browsers. This game aims to redefine the Web3 gaming landscape by implementing a sustainable, player-driven economy before the introduction of its in-game token, $XP.
During the recent beta and alpha testing phases, the game has reported over 1.46 million hours of gameplay and generated more than $700,000 in revenue from in-game purchases. It has also secured top rankings on DappRadar, being recognized as the No. 1 Web3 RPG and No. 4 Web3 game overall.
The game employs a dual-currency system, with Quanta serving as the primary in-game currency. Players can earn Quanta through various activities such as crafting, trading, and participating in gameplay. This currency can be utilized during Claim Events to unlock token rewards from partnered Web3 projects.
Additionally, players have the option to hold Quanta for future conversion into $XP, which will grant exclusive in-game benefits.
Bisonic is establishing partnerships with existing Web3 projects to enhance the game's ecosystem, allowing players to earn and exchange tokens across multiple platforms. This strategy contrasts with many previous Web3 gaming projects that launched tokens prematurely, often resulting in economic instability.
The Early Access version will feature open-world exploration, land ownership, PvP battles, raids, dungeons, and guild mechanics.
A significant airdrop of 21 trillion Quanta is planned for beta players as the game transitions to live service. Bisonic has also received development approvals from major gaming platforms, indicating the potential for broader audience engagement beyond the Web3 space.
