This initiative follows a recent vote by the game's decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that overwhelmingly supported the development of a layer-2 network atop The Open Network (TON).

In the DAO vote, approximately 1.1 billion HMSTR tokens were cast in favor of the layer-2 proposal, while only 104,368 tokens opposed it. However, the voting dynamics revealed significant influence from a few large stakeholders, as the two largest voters collectively control over 88% of the total voting power.

The upcoming HamsterVerse aims to integrate multiple gaming experiences, with three distinct games currently in development.

The creators have stated that the second season of Hamster Kombat, which has faced delays, will be “more than just a game.” A closed beta for the HamsterVerse is currently in progress, engaging 30,000 selected community members.

The announcement of HamsterVerse marks a strategic shift for Hamster Kombat, positioning it within a broader entertainment framework.

As the project evolves, stakeholders and community members alike will be closely monitoring the integration of the new layer-2 network and the development of the anticipated games.
