Gm anon,

Phew, another week in the books and what a week it was. Between the customary multi-million hack and Elon threatening to pull the plug on Ukraine’s Starlink, we had some…shall we say “cowboy stuff?”

If you have no idea what all of this means, keep reading. You will not be disappointed…

Who Went Viral This Time?

As usual, we’ll get to the useful and serious stuff first. Like a possible upcoming Aptos airdrop that Corleone covered in this thread:

If you haven’t heard, Aptos is the new L1 hype backed by a bunch of bigshots and founded by former Meta executives. Imagine Solana but even faster and no working hours (or so they promise). We prepared a deep dive on Aptos that will cover this new blockchain in detail, but if you want some alpha on a potential airdrop, check out the thread.

Another airdrop thread was dropped by Olimpio.eth, covering Layer Zero, a cross-chain bridge:

The project is backed by $135M in VC funding (FTX and Binance are on board), so notwithstanding the recent bridge hacks, you may want to check it out.

Rektdiomedes published this thread on mental models and life lessons applied to crypto:

It’s a good read and good reminder of principles you should heed, particularly in a long and painful bear market like this one.

Speaking of bear markets. You’re probably sick of hearing about inflation and macro. But you may want to know what moar inflayshun means for your tokens. Well, CumberlandSays covered that here:

The one-sentence summary: if higher inflation is here to stay for longer, Cumberland predicts a crypto summer in the not-too-distant future. Fingers crossed he’s right.

Who Is Arguing In Way Too Public A Place?

The drama section this week certainly does not disappoint. It all went down in real life at Devcon Bogotá. Here’s how it started:

Doesn’t sound too good. But it turned out that this was only one side of the story:

His full statement can be found here. The TLDR is of “brown backpack guy’s” statement that there was actually no harassment going on in his understanding, and his harmless suggestion got blown up and ended up with ”brown backpack guy” getting kicked out of several events.

It turns out that not everyone at Blu3DAO is working with their best intentions in mind:

Blu3DAO has responded to the allegations here.

The culture war does not stop where crypto starts, it seems.

Elon and Saylor Say Stuff

Speaking of drama, Elon was busy on Twitter this week. First, he launched what seems to be a troll fragrance? (the author did not follow the entire plot line of Elon’s latest bonkers idea here)

Whatever it is, you presumably will be able to pay for it in Dogecoin, which is a good investment considering Doge is at six cents.

Then, Musk went on to ask Ukraine (or someone else) to pay for future Skylink shipments and dunked on a Ukrainian diplomat:

Phew, no dull days on Elon’s timeline at the moment.

Michael Saylor was much quieter and went on Lex Fridman’s podcast this week, praising the wonder of Lord Satoshi:

You can’t help but wonder what is coming next week…

Talk of the Town

Besides the brown backpack guy drama, we had some interesting topics last week. First, once again, a hack:

The TLDR: someone manipulated the Mango price, put the fake pumped Mango tokens down as collateral and cleaned up. The full version is here:

And if you’re wondering how all of this applies to you, well, here’s how:

Translation: don’t keep your funds in shitty protocols.

But the really juicy news happened here, Camilla Russo explaining:

Yes, you read that right. Yes, there was something else involved that tanked Sushiswap’s price more than 10%. No, no one cared about some mumbojumbo governance fraud accusations. All of CT just focused on the supposed horse harassment allegations.

And no, we haven’t found the video.

Our Favorite Coinfession

There are many ways to make money in crypto. Bull or bear, the best way may not be crypto-related at all.

Learn:

At the time of writing, it is unknown whether the Sushiswap CEO and his potential partner plan an OnlyFans account.

Memes

Of course, there can be only one meme topic to rule them all this week. Brown horse and his (her?) friend Jared Grey:

Ok, that should be enough. See you next week and be nice to your pets, anon.

In a purely platonic way, obviously.
