The Notorious Lazarus Group is Accused of Hacking Cryptocurrency Companies

Following a breach on July 22 that it believes was fabricated by North Korea's Lazarus Group, cryptocurrency payment processor CoinsPaid has resumed processing transactions.

The business claimed that although earnings were affected, client funds were not, and that it sought to harden its systems and minimize the impact.

The notorious Lazarus Group is accused of hacking Axie Infinity, Atomic Wallet and Alphapo, amongst other cryptocurrency companies.

Lazarus Group breached Atomic Wallet last month, causing losses of almost $100 million, while the Alphapo breach cost $60 million. One of the victims of the Alphapo hack was CoinsPaid.

CoinsPaid stated it will host a discussion with all of the Lazarus victims to reveal a new effort targeted at reducing and averting similar attacks in the future.
