We have received complaints that CMC employees are charging money to list tokens. We take these issues extremely seriously and have conducted a full internal audit.
Our investigations have shown that a small number of users have fallen victim to scammers and middlemen impersonating CMC employees. These impersonators can be difficult to identify, especially if they use similar usernames or profile pictures to those of our team members. We have a strict policy against such activities and will take swift action against anyone found to be involved.
Please be advised that CMC employees will never ask for personal information or direct payment from our users. If someone claiming to work for us requests this information, it is likely a scam and should be reported immediately.
We have always maintained a dedicated channel for the public to report bad behavior from CMC staff, scammers and impersonators. If you think you may have been duped, please submit detailed evidence (e.g. transaction id, chat usernames/chat logs) to report@coinmarketcap.com so that we can investigate and help resolve the situation.
